TAGS (Trophies-Awards-Gifts-Specialties) was founded by Orville and
Bernice Armstrong in 1972. After 13 years, which included a term as
president of the industry's only trade organization at that time, Orville
retired and sold the business to Carl Salstrom in 1985.

On September 1, 2001, TAGS was sold to WMS Group, Inc., owned
by Mike and Brenda Williams.  Since 1993, Mike and Brenda have operated
The Williams Group, a full-service advertising, graphic design and
promotional item agency.

TAGS has always maintained two basic philosophies.

1) Quality control and friendly customer service is the
#1 priority.

2) To always maintain the industry's highest standards
for engraving and personalization equipment.

TAGS was one of the very first Awards stores in the country to implement
computerized engraving in the late 1970's and likewise was one of the first
to purchase laser engraving equipment in the late 1980's.
